Single Tube Damper Design
Mono tube dampers allow for more accurate and stable control and adjustment of dampening. Lower ride height and centre of gravity gives a more stable ride.
Dust Boot
Protect the shaft from the flying stones.
PNE Coating
Using this special surface coating provides 5 times better durability over standard galvanising. This prevents build-up around the threads of the adjustment areas allowing for easier height adjustment.
“M Shaft”
With the new design of cylinder shaft since the HIPERMAX M-1, MAX IV increased the cylinder shaft size to have a firm damping even at a little stroke range because of the optimized oil pressure characteristic. We mainly adopted this to the rear damper that can have a better driving experience.
New Design Needle
Newly designed needle has been used to revise the very low speed and middle and high speed dampening which is key to a comfort ride.
Reduction of Unsprung Weight
In order to reduce unsprung weight, bracket, ride height adjusters and lock nuts are made from aluminium. (Not for all vehicles)
30 Step Damping Force Adjustment
30 levels of dampening adjustment allow fine tune adjustment for street or circuit.

・We have improved the damping decay characteristics by inherit the big size main shaft from the M1 and also the design of niddle for MAX IV GT. ・Stock’s rear doeesn’t move smoothly and feels hard and bouncing. So we have made it better by smooth movement with comfort for the fun driving. For street drive, we have rated up and still has better ride than the stock by moving smoothly at the start. Secondly, steering got better with smooth roll and stability in the winding roads and fun to drive from street to circuit. And for the comfortable drive at a high speed crusing on the highway, we have tested from 100km to 150km and 200km to 250km range to analyze and check the gap for absorbability or flat characteristics to adapt the pitching and vertical G force. We have tested several times on this high speed drive. Enjoy the MAX IV GT that has the newest technology for the comfortable drive at the street driving to the highest speed drive.*Tire is bigger than the IS, so if you lower the vehicle the front tire house’s inner cover and tire will interfere. To avoid this problem please set the height rate up. *Please do not adjust the front case to shorter than 393mm, or the upper arm and body will interfere for full bump. *Please do not adjust the rear case to shorter than 367mm, or the side brake wire might be damaged for full bump.●Notice for installation ・Need a hole for rear damping adjustment cable(inside the trunk). ・When the spring interference occurs, you need to take out the rear inner fender. |
