Lightweight Batteries are an excellent and inexpensive way to remove weight from your Subaru, which has an OEM battery tipping the scales at 34 lbs. The GrimmSpeed Subaru Lightweight Battery Kit shaves 19 lbs from the front of your vehicle and is a simple, straight-forward installation with no cutting/drilling required. The lightweight battery tray design features 3 mounting points that will securely hold the tray, and the battery. If you race in SCCA AutoX you should have no problem passing tech with this setup.

The GrimmSpeed Subaru Lightweight Battery Mount Kit was designed to be used with the Odyssey PC680 Lightweight Battery, but should be able to be used with other batteries that share the same height and width. Before purchasing be sure to measure your specific battery to make sure it will fit as intended.

GrimmSpeed has partnered with Odyssey to bring you the best deal on the PC680 Extreme Series Lightweight Battery Cell. This Battery pair perfectly with our mounting kit and can be included for an extra cost.

Featuring rugged construction and packed tightly with pure lead plates, the non-spillable AGM design ODYSSEY battery protects against the shock and vibration that can quickly destroy other batteries. And the pure lead plates mean more power-twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional batteries-up to 400 cycles at 80% depth of discharge! In fact, ODYSSEY batteries are capable of providing engine cranking pulses in excess of 2250 amps for 5 seconds – double to triple that of equally sized conventional batteries, even at very low temperatures.

Disclaimer: Odyssey recommends using a metal battery shield with the PC680 for high-temp applications, warranty claims through Odyssey may be affected by not using one. The GrimmSpeed Tray fits the PC680 with or without the metal shield; the shield is sold separately.
