Our high RPM and high horsepower Alpha Performance engine builds use thicker 15w/50 motor oil, and are spinning at 2000 RPM over stock. This required a purpose designed filter for the increased flow and pressure seen in our Alpha applications. Introducing the Alpha Performance R35 GT-R Race Oil Filter Adapter. Our adapter was designed for use in high horsepower racing and street applications. It allows for the use of a quality racing oil filter in the stock location to protect your GT-R’s engine even in the harshest conditions.
A Purpose Designed Filter
The filter chosen is designed for racing applications, perfect for high RPM, thicker oil viscosities, and more oil flow. The GT-R performance world can no longer use the factory oil filters for these applications. The oil filter adapter was designed to allow the use of a widely used filter size.

Race car? Use this filter. This filter is designed for racing application where flow is important. These oil filters flow nearly 3x the amount of oil then the XP filters which has significant benefits for higher HP motors ensuring the engine is always lubricated.
High Efficiency Endurance (HEE) oil filters use a media rated at a Frazier airflow of approximately 75 CFM. This media contains a higher resin content than our Advanced Performance oil filters to trap and hold smaller contaminants and provide higher efficiency. Our High Efficiency Endurance filters also include the same component features as the Advanced Performance filters: high burst pressure can, high temperature rubber components, zinc chromate baseplate, metal end caps and spiral center tubes.
- Heavy-walled can and cover to withstand the extreme burst pressures (up to 500 psi).
- High temperature nitrile baseplate gaskets withstand extremely high racing temperatures (up to 300°F).
- Zinc chromate-plated baseplate provides low surface friction and is corrosion free.
- Spiral-wound center tube provides increased collapse pressure and enhanced flow pattern.
- Metal end caps provide element strength and prevent filtering bypass.

WIX XP Oil Filters provide robust engine protection when using synthetic motor oil for harsh driving conditions such as towing, extreme idle time, lower gear mountainous climbs, long periods at highway speeds. WIX XP filters are recommended for OEM oil and filter change intervals, typically 3,750 to 10,000 miles. This filter traps up to 100% more dirt and contaminants than WIX to resist premature plugging due to oil breakdown. Fully synthetic media withstands the harsh oil temperatures and conditions. A specifically formulated HNBR gasket provides an excellent seal during extreme cold engine starts and resist hardening under elevated oil temperatures. When applicable, WIX XP silicone anti drain back valve protects against dry starts past the traditional filter change interval. Oil Filter Laboratory Test Performance per ISO 454812 32 grams dirt (51515XP), 99% efficient at 35 microns.

This filter has the same OD as the 51060R and the 57202XP, it is shorter to clear the race cooling kit front mounted transmission cooler.

Required Specifications:
Vehicle clearance will be needed to be checked if using a filter taller then 5.500″ It may be possible to use a filter up to 8.000″ long such as the WIX 51794R.
