The 2008 WRX is a car with a high return on value for your money. The only big downside to this year is that Subaru used the old TD04 turbo from the previous generation WRX models which just doesn’t like to make horsepower. The other downside was that turbo options are limited for the 2008+ WRX model, only sharing components with the 2005-2009 Legacy/Outback Turbo models. In 2009 Subaru released the WRX with a new turbo, the VF52, which is very similar to the VF39/VF43/VF48 from the STi but in the WRX layout. This 2008 WRX owner found a used VF52 and asked us to do the installation for him. The installation is completely bolt-on with no changes needed other then the turbo and tuning. The VF52 is capable of almost 300AWHP with supporting mods which is a lot of fun to say the least. So if you own a 2008 WRX, keep your eye out for a VF52 if you want to have some fun with your car.

So can I reuse the oil lines and cooling lines from my td04 and put it on the vf52?

The turbo included new oil and coolant lines with it.
