SOLID CONSTRUCTION
The IAG Engine Fluid Containment Pan is constructed from a single, solid piece of 1/16” thick 5052 aluminum. Known for its strength and high corrosion resistance, 5052 aluminum is also lightweight, making it a perfect match for racing applications. This pan features a protective layer of black powder coating on both sides of the assembly. Highly resistant to wear and tear, corrosion, fading, and chipping, the powder-coated finish not only increases the longevity of the aluminum pan but also enhances the aesthetic appeal.
COMPLIES WITH NHRA REGULATIONS
If you’re considering attending drag racing events with your Subaru, keep in mind that the NHRA mandates the presence of a protective barrier against leaks or debris on the track. IAG’s Engine Fluid Containment Pan complies with NHRA regulations as an appropriate engine containment device. Otherwise known as an engine diaper, the purpose of the containment device is to catch any debris, broken parts or fluids while out on the drag strip, reducing the risk of harm to the driver, other vehicles, or spectators. The IAG Fluid Containment Pan’s 2” lip keeps any spilled fluids or debris safely contained under the car, and off of the track.
EASY INSTALLATION
The IAG Engine Fluid Containment Pan is easy to install, and the entire task can be completed in under 10 minutes. The pre-drilled mounting holes align and mount up to already existing mounting points on your Subaru’s subframe and transmission brace. All mounting hardware is included, along with spacers that allow for installation on vehicles that require additional clearance due to aftermarket headers. While it’s easier to install with the use of a lift, it is not a requirement; a sturdy floor jack as well as a basic set of socket wrenches will suffice.
