The Subaru WRX has always been a fantastic performance car and the 2022+ model is no different. While some people were dismayed to learn the STI would not be returning, many will find the WRX more capable than expected. With its larger 2.4 Flat Four (FA24F), the Second Generation WRX has similar potential to the STI’s old 2.5L EJ25. Subaru has even race proven the motor at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and in numerous rallies.
Out of the box, the VB WRX is a well engineered and capable vehicle. That being said, it still has its shortcomings. The factory cooling system is capable of keeping up with spirited driving and a daily commute. However, it starts to show its limitations when pushed hard on the track or when tuning is involved. From a quick flash tune to full big turbo builds, more cooling is always beneficial. That is why CSF is pleased to announce the new High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator for the 2022+ Subaru WRX. Available in a 1-Hour “Mirror Finish” Hand Polish (#7224) & Satin Black Finish (#7224B).

Design & Engineering
CSF has long been one of the most popular manufacturers for High-Performance Subaru Radiators. This history includes making many private label oil coolers, intercoolers, and more for some of the most popular Subaru Tuning Companies. So whether you are racing on track, rally racing in the dirt, overlanding, or just doing some spirited driving through country roads, a high-performance radiator will help keep your WRX running at optimal temperatures.
Having a High-Performance Radiator also becomes very important when converting from a factory style top mount intercooler to a front mount intercooler system. Moving the intercooler in front of the radiator restricts airflow and increases the temperature of air flowing through it. These factors are often overlooked but you need to compensate for both air restriction and higher air temperatures flowing through the radiator. The best solution is to upgrade to a CSF High-Performance Radiator.
CSF vs OEM
The original OE radiator from Subaru is a plastic tank with a single row aluminum core design. While this is generally accepted as good quality and durable, it is not the best option for high horsepower builds or hard driving. Also, Turbo cars get hot, and the FA24 is no exception. Anything you can do to help keep coolant temps in check will improve the longevity of your engine and help the car run smoothly.
The 42mm 2-Row aluminum core increases the fluid capacity of the radiator by over 1 gallon (3.8L). A thicker core, second cooling row, and increased fluid capacity drastically improves the amount of heat the system can absorb and dissipate. CSF’s Exclusive B-Tube Technology increases the heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. In addition, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible cooling performance.
The TIG-Welded 100% All Aluminum construction increases the overall strength of the radiator. This improves durability and longevity so you can be confident it will hold up to hard driving conditions. The CSF radiator mounts in the factory location and requires no modifications or cutting.
