Eliminating the Headaches of Working on Subaru Engines
Our team of Subaru enthusiast engineers started with a clean sheet and set out to design the best Subaru engine stand we could. Our goal was to eliminate all the headaches currently associated with working on a horizontally opposed boxer engine. We enlisted the help of professional Subaru mechanic shops during development to ensure we were designing the best Subaru engine stand, bar none.
Engine Case Splitting – On the Stand
The biggest problems we set out to solve was having to move a heavy short block by hand from an engine stand to a workbench to allow a mechanic to split the cases. By designing our engine adapter with robust 3/8-inch steel plate, the left side brace is optional regardless of the assembly state of the engine. It is included as a belt + suspenders approach.
Short Block Assembly
The right-hand side of the cases can remain on the engine stand, this allows the engine builder to place the crank / pistons / o-rings into the case half before assembling the left hand side of the engine
Piston Pin Access
The Company23 engine adapter has been designed to allow ample clearance to the rear piston pin access ports while the engine is on the stand.
Access Cut Outs
Because we are Subaru enthusiasts, we understand even the smallest frustrations. To combat everything we could, we included cut outs for screw access on the rear oil separator plate, and for certain year engine mounts.
All Your Maintenance, On the Stand
Rear main seal? Resealing Piston access covers? Installing a flywheel and clutch? You can do ALL of that now ON THE STAND. No more working on a swaying engine while it dangles from a crane. With the Company23 engine stand, Company23 Flywheel Locker, and Company23 Rear main seal tool, everything is done on the stand.

Constructed of high quality steel, the support legs and mounting plates are 3/8-inch steel. Securely hold your stock replacement or high performance build with confidence. This thing is beefy. Designed in house by our Subaru enthusiast engineering team, precision laser cut in the midwest, welded at our facility in Central WI, and finished by a local powder coater, our engine stand will stand the test of time, and then some
Hardware Included
We have thought of everything with this engine stand. No more running to the hardware store when your stock bell housing bolts need more washers. We have included all the hardware you will need, we also include an aluminum spacer, washer, and nut to fasten your lower stud to the engine stand.
Compatible with Most Engine Stand Carts
The Company23 engine adapter was designed to work with most commercially available engine stand carts, as well as with out bench mount and pedestal mount. However we are not able to test it with every single engine cart on the market, if yours does not match the hole pattern, you may need to drill additional holes.
