While developing our cat-back exhaust and downpipe for the Mk6 GTI, we noted that cars utilizing the complete COBB Volkswagen Turboback Exhaust can exhibit a bit of exhaust resonance in the cabin. This COBB Tuning 3″ Resonated Downpipe Rear Section is intended to be used when customers find that the non-resonated downpipe is a little loud. It is a direct replacement for the rear section of the Volkswagen Catted 3″ Downpipe.

Some vehicles exhibit low levels of exhaust resonance when utilizing a full Turboback Exhaust system. The Resonated Downpipe Rear Section is intended to tame that resonance in cases it is not desired.
